When I first saw facial cupping (or cupping of any sort!) I was wondering why someone would ever do it and was very skeptical of it. After doing some checking and deciding to purchase my own set, I thought I would give it a try.
The kit that I purchased had 5 cups in it. A large whole body and 4 smaller ones for the face. It also includes a dermaroller and facial brush. I love this kit because you get the whole body one with it as well.
I tried the cupping within a week of receiving it. It was so relaxing. I used the smaller cups on my face and had my husband use the bigger one for my shoulders, since that is where I hold all my stress.
I didn’t realize how relaxing it would be on my shoulder’s with the cupping. It helped pull out the knots in my really bad spots. I was able to function and use my arm again after the cupping almost immediately.
There are some things I want you to be aware of though, if you try cupping. Please make sure you read the instructions, prior to doing it.
When you do your face, make sure you don’t go over the same spot too many times or leave the cups in one spot. I usually have blood brought to the surface anywhere I do the cupping. It goes away anywhere between a few hours to a few days.
Also, always have some type of oil or moisturizer on your skin. That helps the cups move across them a lot smoother and easier.
Another thing, I tried the cupping on my husband’s back and he hated it. He is very sensitive to those things and didn’t like it and never wants it done again. So if you are sensitive to massages or people working your muscles, I am not sure sure cupping would be good for you. I love deep tissue massages, so this is something I like!
My suggestion is don’t just buy the kit with just the facial cupping, get one that has the larger cup too for the rest of your body. I wouldn’t buy it any other way now myself!
