A friend of mine was gracious enough to offer me a free sample of Color Street nails to try and give a review on. I was excited to give them a try!
First off for those that don’t personally know me, I am not a high-maintenance person. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids under 5 years old. Who has time to be high-maintenance! Regular manicures or pedicures are not in my calendar.
I received 2 different print samples. Each sample is 2 finger strips. Since I am one that normally does not have longer nails, I was able to makes these two strips cover all 5 nails.
I loved how easy it was to apply to the nail. However, because I am not a high-maintenance nail person, I did not realize I had to push my cuticles back until I started on my second hand. So my advice is to make sure you push your cuticles back prior to applying the nails.
It was simple once the nails were applied to file/cut the end of the strip at the tip of your nail. I couldn’t believe how nicely it would cut off. Make sure you get it right at the edge though. I had one nail that started to chip because I didn’t have it filed right at the tip.
My one complaint would be that I didn’t feel the nail was able to go right up to the edge of my cuticles or in the corners, like a normal manicure could do. However, if you are in a pinch and want to change your nails, these are a great option! Also, remember, I was working with samples.
The hand that I did not push my cuticles back only stayed on my nails a few days. The other hand stayed on for about almost a week before I decided to take them off because they just didn’t look good. So make sure you push the cuticles back.
All in all, it was a fun experience to try the nails. I will say my right hand, looked a whole lot better then what I could do myself with painting my nails.
If you are not into nail polish for yourself, I think they would be a great option for little ones that don’t have the patience to sit and let nail polish dry. I have a couple of those girls! Maybe do an at home spa day with your little ones.
Color Street has so many different colors and prints that you are able to choose from. I couldn’t believe all the options! They start at $11 for a set. Each set has 16 strips in it, so you can color your nail 2 1/2 times!
They also have a deal that if you purchase 3 sets, you get the 4th one free! Who doesn’t love free!? I also noticed another deal for Buy 1 Get 1 Free French Manicure sets going on.
If you are interested in purchasing some nails, my friend, Angel, has a website for you to purchase some online. She might even be willing to mail you a sample, if you are interested.
