Here are a few activity toy ideas for kids that would be easy to put in an Easter basket, that we love in our house!
Another Mom and I were just talking about crayons and the difference between the different brands. We both agreed that it is worth spending the extra money on Crayola crayons.
We have both had the experience of our kids drawing on things other than paper. The other brands, they don’t clean very easily. Crayola is just easier to get off of stuff.
Also, I am partial to the washable crayons of Crayola. You don’t realize how nice they are, until you have to clean them off of walls or doors! They came off so easily. The other crayons, I had to purchase Magic Erasers and even then, you can still see the red on the walls.
I am a huge fan of any Mess Free coloring books and markers. Crayola and Melissa and Doug have some good ones.
I love them because as they say, Mess Free! I don’t have color all over my counter, walls, floor or body parts.
These are great on the go. I usually have at least one set in my diaper bag for my kids to entertain them while we are sitting somewhere and they get antsy.
We also love the Melissa and Doug Water Wow!’s. They are very easy for younger kids to use them.
My only complaint is that I would not fill the pen with water prior to using it and dump it out when done. We have had quite a few water mess’ to clean up.
Otherwise, they are another great easy toy to occupy your kids.
I bought my daughter’s these Crayola Scribble Scrubbie’s for a gift and they love them.
It is so fun how you can color them and then give them a bath to wash them off.
My disappointments are once they are washed and wet, you really can’t color them again until they are dry. You can either continue to dry them by a towel or just let them air dry.
The bath that comes with them, usually isn’t that big either. So you can only wash one at a time. If you have multiple kids, I would consider buying two bath sets.
Also, make sure you wash the animals before you put them away. If not, you will not be able to wash the marker off later one. We learned this the hard way!
We received an ice cream Play-Doh set that had some of this Play-Doh Plus in it. I thought nothing of it, until my kids started playing with it.
This Play-Doh is some of the softest I have every felt. It is so smooth and just fun to play with. It is a similar feel as kinetic sand.
It is easy to push out of the toy structures you get in the Play-Doh sets. We love it and these are requested right away when we pull out ours to play with.
If you have a kid that loves slime, but hate the mess that it makes. Me too!
I was introduced to this Play-Doh Slime Krackle by a family member. I have not purchased it for my kids yet, but I am pretty sure these will be in their Easter baskets this year.
It has the texture of slime, but does not stick to anything.
It has little balls in the slime. They do not actually break in the slime. They are just their for texture.
I am pretty sure my girls will love this! They always ask me for slime and I tell them no! This is one slime I will finally say yes to.
