I purchased Era Organics super balm for my 5 month old because she has been having cradle cap. One of my other girls’ doctors had told me that you put an oil on the skin and use a fine tooth comb to get rid of it. I figured I might as well try this since it states it is for babies and one of the many uses is cradle cap.
Before I had time this winter to use it on the baby, my hands were cracking on the knuckles. I went looking in my bathroom for a deep moisturizing lotion to put on them. I saw the super balm and decided to take a chance.
I put the super balm on my knuckles and was a little surprised by how oily and greasy it was. It was more than I expected. It is a harder balm, but once it warms it is oily. This isn’t always a bad thing because it definitely kept my knuckles moisturized.

I only put this on one of my hands and the next day it was a significant difference. The one that did not have the super balm on it was very dry and starting to crack some. The hand that I used the super balm on was smooth and felt great!
It is a very small jar, so easy to put it in your bag for the on the go. Also, I appreciate that there aren’t any fragrances to it and it is hypoallergenic.
So this is a good moisturizing super balm, if you are looking for something to help with your dry skin. Next, I will try to use it on my children’s Eczema and see how it goes.
