I wanted to try the WeeSprout High Chair to see what I thought of a more modern style plastic high chair. I was hoping it would be easier clean up at meal time.
I was very surprised when the package showed up at my door. It was small and light weight. I couldn’t believe that was the highchair in it. I currently have a Graco High Chair that converts a dining booster seat. The Graco is bigger and bulky. The WeeSprout High Chair was very compact.
I opened the box and started putting the WeeSprout High Chair together. It was generally pretty easy to put together. However, I did have one issue with the front leg lining up to put the foot rest on. I ended up just having to ‘loosen’ it 3/4 of a turn to get it be straight on. Other then that issue, it took me maybe 10 minutes to put all the pieces together. It is a very lightweight high chair that is easily moved around.
I put my 3 month old in the WeeSprout High Chair and she looked so big in it. She is average for her age. So not a very big kid, but this high chair is definitely smaller then normal. The WeeSprout High Chair has an option for an armrest or a tray on it. The picture shows the armrest. There are also straps to buckle the child in and/or a strap to just put between their legs.
I loved how it came with shorter legs as well for when my kids are older to use it as a toddler chair. That way I don’t have a high chair just sitting around or have to figure out a way to get rid of it.
What I didn’t like about it was how hard it was. For my 3 month old it was hard to have her sit in it because she can’t really hold herself up. I still use my Graco High Chair right now just because I need it to recline, because she can’t really sit up. Once she gets stronger, I am hoping to put her in this high chair more.
If you are looking for a smaller and lightweight highchair, the WeeSprout High Chair is a great option for a child that can support their self sitting up.
